Those pellets are Rat Poison.

I've had to use that too often, though often a .22 works better and is a lot more fun. Used to be that you could get some 12yr old to do the job, it kept them out of trouble and developed their aim & triggering. Now, of course, using a .22 is not allowed in too much of the Land of the Formerly Free.

Funny we don't hear much about this huge problem- I've known several people who parked their car in an airport lot, when they returned their car wouldn't start; wiring eaten away or brake line damage. Most cars use wiring with insulation made from vegetable substances that critters like to eat; not just tree rats but cute little bunny rabbbits & other small animals too. (Most of these would go nicely in a stew pot along with some potatoes & carrots.)

I expect the authorities will take note of this problem, and soon rat poison will be banned. That's the kind of attention to detail that our city councils are so very good at!

Arghhhh! It sure looks like hamburger! All the more reason to poison-proof our dogs!

We much prefer Eskyman's approach to rodent control. There was a time in America when a couple of 12 yr. olds walking along the RR tracks (or riding their bikes to the dump) with their .22 rifles and shooting rats was good, clean fun.
