When I was a kid, I used to say "Sandy's got a pinky." (Sandy was our Cocker Spaniel. By the way, spellcheck just highlighted "Cocker.")
Spending time on the farm, a lot of critters got pinkies. And, to my recollection, a lot of mares and cows put up with it. And **tches." (Can't even use the word "bitch" anymore.)
Should we start calling female sheep "uses?"
