Thanks for featuring this, Raja! Predictably, the story just sort of came and went, as it didn't fit the MSM's anti-gun narrative.
Anyway, you and my friends here can listen to me discuss this story with Talk Radio icon Barry Farber here: http://crntalk.com/podcast/bf/2017/bf-08-23-2017.mp3

In my never-to-be-humble opinion, all judges, all political figures, and most "regular" people who deal with the public on a daily basis should seriously consider being armed at all times.

I'm not saying they have to, but the option should be available to everyone to protect themselves and their families from the growing threat posed by angry people, even when it doesn't directly concern them.

What? You say... the Second WNAT?

Oh... never mind!

Stu, I knew you had this icon, but couldn't find it. And thank you and skoonj for all your original content. You are both elevated to the rank of field corporal of the barb army. And no field corporal has ever surrendered his troops!

Great article, Stu!

And like you predicted in the article, the MSM "coverage" has been poor to nonexistent, and many accounts published minimize the fact that the judge fired back in self-defense; the articles generally bury that part in the middle of the text and emphasize that the shooter was killed by a Probation Officer who happened to be on the scene.

After all, according to Teh Narrative, anyone (who isn't a police officer) who shoots back at a criminal will accidentally shoot some innocent bystander, won't they! That's the handy excuse for downplaying the facts.

IIRC in the past there were a lot of school shooting cases where a gunman was taken down by armed citizens; but somehow the #LyingMedia never mentioned just how those gunmen were overwhelmed. That's because in most cases a citizen had pulled out their own gun & got the drop on the gunman, who then decided he didn't want to die so he surrendered. That part is left out, the MSM don't want us to get any ideas!

The NRA publication "American Rifleman" each month has a column called "Armed Citizens" which gives short accounts of people using their God-given right to self-defense; most of those stories are never seen in the "news."

I hope your article gets a lot of views, common sense isn't so common anymore & must be encouraged!

Eskyman: Thanks for the kind words! Another example of the "Only cops should have guns" meme (if the anti-2nd Amendment vermin were really truthful about it, it would be "Only cops and bad guys should have guns") is in the coverage of the incident of "workplace violence" that occurred in Moore, Oklahoma, in Sept. 2014, which I wrote about in American Thinker here: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2014/09/revisionism_in_reporting_of_ok_workplace_beheading.html

Excerpt:
I listened to the radio news reader state that the perpetrator, after beheading one female coworker and in the process of stabbing another, had been "shot by police." That subtle change did not escape my notice.

When the story first broke, we were informed that Alton Alexander Nolen, aka Jah’Keem Yisrael, was shot by a company executive, who also happened to be a reserve sheriff’s deputy.

But apparently that was too close to the terrorist/criminal having been stopped by a vigilant, armed citizen. The last thing we want is a bunch of vigilant, armed citizens running around, taking responsibility for their own self-defense and protection. Right? That certainly seems to be the view of those who think that guns, per se, are unnecessary and evil in the hands of anyone other than law enforcement or the military.

So now the reporting of the story has been revised so that the vigilant, armed citizen who used his personal firearm to put a stop to a murder spree is deemed to have been acting in his capacity as a LEO.

In other words, there's no need for citizens to be armed, vigilant, and prepared to take action when their fellow citizens are being murdered. Just call 911, Folks, and hope the cops are nearby (or that you're lucky enough to have one working at your company)!

Thanks for the link Stu, I enjoyed that article too!

Every time I think the #LyingMedia has got to the bottom of the barrel, they prove me wrong. They are insidious; they are apparently entirely unable to simply report the facts, and tell the story as it happened without "embellishment."

So they have to spin, slant and obfuscate until they succeed in removing anything other than The Narrative, i.e. no one should bear arms except the police. Which also includes the bad guys as you point out, but that isn't part of The Narrative so it isn't mentioned.

Some folks might say that they like the flavor better after they've whizzed in it!

Well, speaking of "The Narrative", here's another of my 100+ pieces on American Thinker that you might find interesting, "The Case of the Missing Narrative": http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/11/the_case_of_the_missing_narrative.html
