Peckology

Been having back problems.  Chiro  guy has helped, but MoSup said she had a friend who would often say, "time to visit Dr. Floor."

Huh?

She meant, when her back was acting up she'd lie down on the floor and stretch her arms.

I tried it, and it actually works.

You're welcome.

So does a good chiropractor. Sadly, most of them are semi-quacks, or just not so good. I had a great one for years, but he retired to Florida. So I tried one of the others in town, and it's just not the same. So I've done without regular adjustments for several years now, and I really don't miss it much at all.

FWIW,
Years ago, I became an overweight couch potato while recovering from a herniated disk. The plan was to let it "stabilize" and thus avoid surgery. I was seeing a specialist for my back and a GP for my blood pressure. The back doctor ruled out any exercise at all. The GP warned me that if I didn't start to exercise immediately, I would die soon. She recommended a Healthrider (tm). So I bought a used one at a significant discount. I had to force myself to use it, it was the most boring thing in the world. Anyway, I got my blood pressure down, and a big surprise: my back stabilized and I avoided surgery. (The back doctor just about had apoplexy when I told him I got it.)
I still use it, though not as regularly. The key is to get some forward and back leaning motion to exercise the waist muscles. In other words don't stay sitting straight up.

I find a good stiff walk with a hill climb does wonders when my back aches.

When my back talks to me in it's outside voice, I lay flat on the bed and sip a little Kentucky's finest. Not a cure, but I don't feel any pain...after enough sips.

Old tennis ball between where it hurts and the back of my chair. Roll around a bit. This fixes most of my backaches.
