Nope. Carp are trash fish, like their relative, the pike minnow. Oregon runs an annual bounty program on them.

That's a big &#$%^ing carp!
World record is 105 lbs, so that fisherman must be a midget.

In China and East Asia carp are for eating. They are a pain to prepare. You have to slice away the red meat so you only have the white meat left. There is a youtube video out there somewhere that shows the process. If you slice it right you end up with a boneless white filet. A Chinese commentator said he was jealous that our water was clean enough for large Asian carp to survive.

Carp is an ingredient in gefilte fish, which is kind of a (Ashkenazi) Jewish soul food. Although the better gefilte fish is made with whitefish and pike.

A giant fish and a man laying side by side? I've seen enough anime to know where this is going.

They ought to run an annual bounty program to get rid of some of the other trash that currently infests Oregon. Like the current denizens of Pioneer Sq. and the Park Blocks in Portland.
