Does that include nukes?

DROP ZONE
The Second Amendment exists to ensure that the People have the means to discourage and resist tyranny. I've shared this quote here before, and I'll do it again: Tench Coxe, one of America's Founders, when asked "Just what sort of arms shall the People 'keep and bear'?", emphatically replied, "Every terrible implement of the soldier!" No problem; all you have to do is pay for it. I think a M777 155mm field howitzer costs about $5.2 million, each standard shell goes for >$750, and uses $300 worth of powder.

If you were free to own and use one, I think it would only be fair if you were responsible/liable for all collateral damage, from every shrapnel fragment and concussive blast wave. So if you want to blow up your neighbor, better make sure you don't also take out the next house down the street, or shatter all the windows in a 5 block radius.

I'd go small myself. Just give me one of those grenade launchers and a case or two of ammo. And maybe a mounting system to put it on my truck.

John 7:23--"If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If non-believer-- Use common sense. Kim Jung Un would give away free nukes to the Crips and the Bloods etc. In any event, We (the world) are so screwed. C'mon J-sus. Or hurry up Comet.

Before the unconstitutional 1968 GCA, you could buy an anti-aircraft gun, or a howitzer, through mail order. All you needed was the money to pay for it.

Even in California, which is the most unbelievable thing of all! But CA then was still the Golden State before the Dem takeover; it's now the Brown State.

How about a do it yourself artillery? Mortars, Smooth bore recoilless from oil field casing pipe. Look at what is done with IED's. Feeding even a used M2 gets expensive but they do make reloading presses for that round. With a laptop, a bunch of burner phones, you could preset a bunch of mortar tubes and fire for a Time On Target and not be anywhere near the counter fire.

Would a seven barreled rotary shotgun firing flechette rounds with an underslung chain saw bayonet be considered too excessive ?

The chain saw should be carried separately IMAO.
