Be My Valen... AWK

Hey There!

Heller Gutted

It looks like Neil Gorsuch is going to have his plate full when he finally takes his seat on the Supreme Court. The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has been busy uprooting the Second Amendment this week, delivering a stunning opinion which essentially overturns the Heller decision without so much as a by your leave to SCOTUS. It involves a case out of Maryland where the state’s Democrats decided to ban “assault rifles” and high-capacity magazines. Apparently the idea of precedent is not something they care to have any truck with, as Charles C.W. Cook explains at National Review.

BAD JUDGES

Pardon my language, but where the hell did the phrase “most useful in military service” come from? As Charles aptly points out, this is completely new ground which was summoned up out of whole cloth by the majority in this decision. And what does that even mean?

Will the Supreme Court actually entertain nonsense like this as some new standard in defiance of all precedent? I can certainly think of four members who might. This is yet another case which demonstrates how important it is to get Neil Gorsuch on the job as quickly and efficiently as possible. This sort of claptrap coming from the lower courts must be kept in check.

Article II of the Constitution gives the United States House of Representatives sole power of impeachment, and assigns the power to try impeachments to the United States Senate.[2]
The United States Senate has removed judges from office for substantial questionable conduct, even if no crime was committed. For example, Judge Robert Wodrow Archbald was impeached and removed from office for improper business relationships with litigants. One reason for this may be the life tenure bestowed upon federal judges and the Congress' place in upholding the "good behavior" of judges.[4]

There are options, but where the hell is Congress? Because a nation without a rule of law, as has been recently, and manifestly demonstrated in Brazil, and other South American countries, leads to "Star Chamber Justice," where even child beggars are executed as nuisances by roving posses.

Slavery, Rape OK Under Islam

Jonathan Brown is under fire following a lecture he gave defending slavery and rape under Islamic law, arguing that slavery is not an absolute “moral evil.”
Of course he does.

O'Keefe Does CNN

James O'Keefe Does CNN

As promised two days ago on the Sean Hannity radio show, James O'Keefe and his team at Project Veritas just released covertly captured, previously unseen video footage from within the CNN newsroom. But unlike his usual undercover sting operations, this footage was allegedly sourced from a CNN insider who apparently grew frustrated with the biased reporting of the "fake news" media outlet.

O'Keefe: In the next 48 hours, Project Veritas, like Wikileaks, will be releasing hundreds of hours of tape from within the establishment media. Our next target is in fact, the media.

Hannity: How long have you been working on this?

O'Keefe: We've had people on the inside come to us. Just like Julian Assange has people come to him, we've had people, sources come to us and give us information, and we're going to be releasing it "Wikileaks Style" this week.

I'm quite serious about being concerned  about O'Keefe's safety.  Ahem. Having just posted a 1950 Mike Wallace interview below,  forces me to to reflect on how a reporter like O'Keefe would have fared back then.  Pulitzer, Pulitzer, Pulitzer.

Mike Wallace-Marg. Sanger

a major award

ASIDE;

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America has been protective of Margaret Sanger's reputation and defensive of allegations that she was a racist. They correctly point out that many of the attacks on Sanger come from anti-choice activists who have an interest in distorting both Sanger's work and that of Planned Parenthood. While it is understandable that Planned Parenthood would be protective of their founder's reputation, it cannot ignore the fact that Sanger edited the Birth Control review from its inception until 1929. Under her leadership, the magazine featured articles that embraced the eugenicist position. If Sanger were as anti-eugenics as Planned Parenthood says she was, she would not have printed as many articles sympathetic to eugenics as she did.
[...]
Would the NAACP's house organ, Crisis Magazine, print articles by members of the Ku Klux Klan? Would Planned Parenthood publish articles penned by fetal protectionist South Carolina republican Lindsey Graham?

The articled published in the Birth Control Review showed Sanger's empathy with some eugenicist views. Margaret Sanger worked closely with W. E. B. DuBois on her "Negro Project," an effort to expose Southern black women to birth control. Mary McLeod Bethune and Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. were also involved in the effort. Much later, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. accepted an award from Planned Parenthood and complimented the organization's efforts. It is entirely possible that Sanger Ôs views evolved over time. Certainly, by the late 1940s, she spoke about ways to solve the "Negro problem" in the United States. This evolution, however commendable, does not eradicate the impact of her earlier statements.

"See No Evil" - the case of Kermit Gosnell (45 minutes)
This is perhaps to most monstrous man in American history. Kermit Gosnell's (state sanctioned) specialty was aborting black babies.  Hundreds of them. His method included allowing natural birth and then "snipping" the baby's spinal column. As it cried. The most interesting thing about this trial was the absence of news media coverage, save Fox News.  Can you imagine?  They were absent because covering the trial would show Planned Parenthood, and the abortion industry in a bad light.

Yes Virginia, the assholes have jumped the shark

Oh my, the left are being dare I say fascists?

A recent study by The Cornell Sun student newspaper documented that 97% of faculty donations at Cornell Univ. went to Democrats, while an analysis by The College Fix showed that eleven departments at Cornell have ZERO Republican professors.
While Cornell is nowhere near as political or radical as many other Ivy League schools, such as Columbia, at the student level there is an overwhelmingly liberal and far-left bent among those students who are politically active.
Since the election of Donald Trump, left-wing campus political activism is on overdrive. Olivia Corn, President of the College Republicans, has been harassed and threatened:

The president of the Cornell University College Republicans was shoved to the ground and called a “racist bitch” the night after the election, and campus officials are currently investigating the incident.

“I was actually assaulted on campus for being a Republican,” Olivia Corn told The Tab. “I had someone throw me to the ground and say: ‘Fuck you, racist bitch, you support a racist party.”

Corn gave the same account to The Ithaca Voice.

“Out of nowhere I was on my phone and looking at my email and out of nowhere I felt two hands grab my shoulders and just sort of threw me to the ground, and they were yelling ‘Fuck you racist bitch, you support a racist party,’” Corn said.
But, Wait ...

This leftist activist is free speech’s worst nightmare
Noting that Felarca’s group’s name calls for fighting fascists “by any means necessary,” Tucker pressed her on what level of violence they are willing to use.
“To what extent would you go to stop [a] person from spreading ‘genocidal propaganda’?” Tucker asked.
Felarca said she would call on others to stand up, counter-protest and “shut down” that person.
The 55-year-old Obama is not content to go quietly into the night like other ex-presidents.

HOWEVER:

The student Left’s culture of intolerance is creating a new generation of conservatives

Nowadays, the student Left are unwilling to honour Savio’s legacy. On the 2nd of February, violent protests at Berkeley shut down a talk by popular conservative speaker Milo Yiannopoulos. Instead of maintaining a liberal and free atmosphere for speech and argument, Berkeley students have become the gears, wheels and levers of the machine that (Mario) Savio wanted to stop.

Media SUICIDAL: President Trump Holds RECORD Approval Rating

I prepared this post a few days ago and failed to push the button because, what the hell!  There is no end to it.  I'm thinking that, barring an assassination attempt, or news that the Ninth Court of Appeals is split into two jurisdictions, why bother?  Nothing changes. I hate them.  They hate me.  Hate hate hate. It only adds to my frustration that I know what must happen.  And will happen, unless perhaps we are met with the threat of invading Martians, and refocus that hate.  Even then these snots will complain about diversity.   Plus, I don't want all that blood on my hands; blood that accrues on my mortal soul by its mere fantasy.  And besides, who wants to  nuke their alma mater? Unless it's Duke?
