Jim Acosta's Whine

Watching CNN

If the media can dish it out, they should be prepared to take it.

Tuesday night, at a Trump rally in Tampa, Fla., Jim Acosta complained about the crowd booing him, even making it part of his on-air bit with Wolf Blitzer.

“You can hear there is a chorus of boos and other chants from this Trump crowd here — saying things like ‘CNN sucks,’ ‘go home’ and ‘fake news,’ ” Acosta complained.

Trump supporters did not accost the Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders crowds in the same way. But no matter, Trump was repeatedly labeled a Nazi and racist on networks like CNN, without challenge.

Republican congressman Steve Scalese and two others were shot just last year by a left-wing activist in Alexandria, Va. No, CNN, it is not President Trump who has whipped the crowd up against the media, it is the media.
Then, in what has become a ritual with Acosta, he signed off with some virtue-signalling and then gave a nod to his own, insurmountable dedication to journalism in the face of danger.

“We’re staying right here,” he declared from a heightened riser and separated from the crowd by a steel fence. “We’re going to do our job and report on this rally to all of our viewers tonight.”

He wasn’t done though. He tweeted some footage of the Trump crowd heckling him and wrote: “Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa. I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way. The press is not the enemy.”

The truth is Acosta’s reporting is exactly why so many people at Trump rallies and across the nation despise CNN and other media. [FULL]

Mueller ? Nope never heard of him

CNN has reported extensively on the sprawling Russia probe led by Mueller, which has delved beyond the question of meddling in the 2016 election and potential Trump campaign collusion, ensnaring several Trump allies besides Flynn. Reporter Maeve Reston said in January "that's all we talk about at CNN, basically." -CNN host John King

CNN host John King couldn't believe no contestant on the popular trivia show "Jeopardy!" knew the answer to a question about the Russia investigation, wondering Friday what that said about the nation's "focus."

"Only the smartest of the smart get to be on Jeopardy, right?" King asked. "So what does this little exchange last night say about the nation's focus, or lack thereof, on the whole [Robert] Mueller Russia meddling and collusion investigation?"
"Only the smartest of the smart get to be on Jeopardy, right?" King asked. "So what does this little exchange last night say about the nation's focus, or lack thereof, on the whole [Robert] Mueller Russia meddling and collusion investigation?"

Two contestants buzzed in and responded incorrectly to the $1,000 clue Thursday night, "In 2017, this ex-National Security Adviser pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI?" One guessed John Kelly; the other guessed Sebastian Gorka.

King said he'd personally bomb on "Jeopardy!" but he knew the answer was Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty last year to lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russians during the presidential transition. His tenure as National Security Adviser lasted less than a month.

Alinsky-ing Here Boss,

By Saul Alinsky - 1971

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.

3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."

8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."

9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."

10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."

11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."

12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.  In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...
"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'
"One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other." (pps.127-134)

Limbaugh: 'How can you not laugh at them? They've become a national joke'

And now a moment of silence for the late CNN ... Flat-lined. Room temperature. Dead on arrival. Pick your favorite euphemism.

It is the end of CNN. …

For everybody who’s wanted something done about the media, this is what it looks like. For everybody’s who’s complained about “inside-the-Beltway-itis” and how it happens and says we need to drain the swamp or whatever, this is what it looks like.

It was never gonna be pretty. It was never going to appear rational or normal. I mean, this is a huge battle taking place that Donald Trump is waging single-handedly. Now, he’s got his supporters out there, don’t misunderstand. The social-media army is out there supporting, and he’s not alone in this. But in terms of electoral politics, he pretty much is alone in this, and he continues to take it to them. And they clearly do not know how to deal with Trump.

O'Keefe Does CNN

James O'Keefe Does CNN

As promised two days ago on the Sean Hannity radio show, James O'Keefe and his team at Project Veritas just released covertly captured, previously unseen video footage from within the CNN newsroom. But unlike his usual undercover sting operations, this footage was allegedly sourced from a CNN insider who apparently grew frustrated with the biased reporting of the "fake news" media outlet.

O'Keefe: In the next 48 hours, Project Veritas, like Wikileaks, will be releasing hundreds of hours of tape from within the establishment media. Our next target is in fact, the media.

Hannity: How long have you been working on this?

O'Keefe: We've had people on the inside come to us. Just like Julian Assange has people come to him, we've had people, sources come to us and give us information, and we're going to be releasing it "Wikileaks Style" this week.

I'm quite serious about being concerned  about O'Keefe's safety.  Ahem. Having just posted a 1950 Mike Wallace interview below,  forces me to to reflect on how a reporter like O'Keefe would have fared back then.  Pulitzer, Pulitzer, Pulitzer.

Interactive Inaugural Picture

Democrat Media Monkeys

CNN, in effect, says "CNN is a manipulative liar."

Washington (CNN)He campaigned on the huge crowd sizes, but the turnout for the inauguration of President Donald Trump appears to be smaller .... There is empty ground exposed in the Trump photos. The same spots were almost entirely covered eight years ago, when estimates at the time suggested 1.8 million people attended the inauguration.

BELOW, CNN's (fabulous) interactive Megapixel image of the inauguration.

Click on it and find Waldo

SCROLL DOWN

It's hard to tell, but it is likely that Obama's 2009 inaugural (but not 2013's) had a higher turnout.  That's not the point, which is that CNN, and other Fake News outlets, were yesterday pushing pictures of Trump's inaugural site that were taken several hours before, as when people were just showing up.
