President Trump is right to pursue Obama on this. Having him charged is a problem though. Most previous presidents would have had their FBI and Justice Department investigate, go before a grand jury, and indict. Pretty simple, though there would be immense noise from the political commentariat. But President Trump is in a position not to know who he can trust to do it, thanks to the immense sabotage by the previous president and the subject of what would be this investigation. Yes, it was criminal. Yes, one could, considering the enemy status of Iran, aim toward a charge of treason. I would love to see a hanging of a traitor, such as was done in the wake of the Lincoln assassination.
