I don't know what Al's talents are, but I don't believe deep thinking is one of them. Does he really think the citizenry would like to have a congressional committee as the gatekeeper for who sits in the Oval Office? I am sure he wouldn't mind and has a lot of company, but most others are smart enough to not say it out loud.
