The Real Pity?  Government Is NOT Shut down Tom Mann sent me a special edition of his daily bike ride photographs of our nation's capitol.  Here are a few, and what I saw in them.  Of course the only governmet our keepers will shut down are things that will have an immediate impact on voters,  generating news items the media can use to lay proper blame.

REAL NEWS President Obama campaigns in Portland Man held after alleged 'Star Wars' light saber assault at Portland Toys R Us

“ Coincidence? A 9-1-1 caller reported the attack at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday and said a man was swinging the "Star Wars"-style weapons at customers inside the store at 1800 Jantzen Beach Center, said Portland police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson. Though police initially reported the man  struck the customers with one lightsaber, Simpson said Thursday he had one saber in each hand While the caller was still on the phone the man walked out of the store — lightsabers in hand — toward the parking lot, police said. Officers tried to arrest him, but he kept swinging the lightsabers at them, Simpson said. One officer tried to use his Taser but the device didn't work. Another officer used his Taser, but  the man  knocked one of the wires away with a lightsaber. ”    thoR

“ I must really be asleep at the wheel these days. I listened to ABC's Diane Sawyer gush about democracy coming to Egypt yesterday evening. Did they hold an election while I wasn't paying attention? Because what I saw was mob rule, not an election. And no matter how much journalists like Sawyer wish it to be so, mob rule is not democracy. Her sudden deep and abiding love for democray in Egypt falls squarely in the "careful what you wish for" rubrick. I s'pect were mob rule in the USA to win the day, folks like Sawyer would prolly be the guests of honor at numerous necktie parties. [badanov]

And, the answer is, according to respondents to date ... So, in a fell swoop we have answers to three pressing questions ... What sort of person would pay attention to anything America's first self-nationalized gummint sponsored agitprop purveyor serve up?
