Are we almost there daddy?
One of the many delicious moments in HBO's very black comedy ''The Second Civil War,'' has the Mayor of Los Angeles holding a press conference ... shown being translated into English for the Gov. of Idaho who does not speak Spanish (at the end of the speech, Black gang members open fire because they refuse to ''recognize Mexican rule''). `

I went scurrying to the Library of Important Things for the clip after reading this  WSJ account - "Beware Politicians Speaking In Tongues"
''Antonio Villaraigosa, the Democratic alcalde (or mayor) of Los Angeles, delivered to his city a "Respuesta al Estado de la Nación" -- a response in Spanish to President Bush's State of the Union address."
That's all I have to say.

we've had the islamo-twits doing that for years...sya one thing in English, another in arabic. (I confess to being a recovering MEMRI junky).

Now we have to worrk about azteca-twits too? (not the kind that drive the ugly cars/van/suv drafint board accident, but the "gringos stole Calafooooooorniaaaaaaa" kind)

sheesh. I move that any elected politician giving speeches on the government dime get moved to the top of the B-52 list.
