Hey Clooney, in case nobody has ever told you, Solaris really sucked. Oh, wait a second -- I think I got that backwards. In fact EVERYONE told you it sucked and they were right. Dry. Boring. Pointless. Like enduring the pain of gas cramps, without even the hopeful promise of a big fart.
(In contrast, Stanislav Lem's book, Solaris, is a masterpiece; one of my all time favorites. It's a remarkably inventive and creative exploration of relationships and the value of life and the decisions we make.) -
