Cindy Sheehan, Robert Redford

Ratbastards in love
So, Robert Redford will produce a movie about Cindy Sheehan, starring Susan Sarandon, another outspoken, anti-American  left-winger.

WTF?

Okay, I don't think 50% of us want to see Cindy tried for treason - then executed - like I do (but I bet the poll numbers on that one would be surprising), but the vast majority of people, when made aware of who this bitch really is, do want her to STFU, and disappear.  Does Redford understand this?  If he does,  this project is a conscious declaration of war against the sensibilities of more than half the nation. Or, is Redford, like so many liberals,  secure in his cloistered liberal belief  that his world view is transcendent?  And folks with opposing views are to be dismissed as yokels?

I love it. With the U.S. pretty evenly divided between "red" and "blue", it would seem foolish to piss off half of your audience with political BS. But go for it. And bring on Mel Gibson. And "YEA" for Sarandon. The last two movies (Dead man walking and Thelma and Louise) both had happy endings!

Fine with me. Knock yourself out Robbie.

I went to ONE movie at the theater last year and that was to see King Kong on the big screen. I find myself collecting film noir DVDs. I sure as hell don't know Robert Mitchum's political bent.

When these assclowns make a movie extolling our guys and gals bringing freedom to Iraq and keeping us safe, I'll be there. But Oliver Stone doing a 9/11 movie, puleeesae.

In the meantime, ticket sales were down 7% last year from the one before. I wonder why?

They have come up with a hundred reasons for lower box office - from busy life styles, to the internet, but not one has included the seething hatred for Hollywood's lock step devotion to anything anti-American.
