The auto makers are going for "truth in advertising"?

BTW the Ford Falcon is an Aussie model although that doesn't look like an Aussie license plate. Can't see the driver or wheel but its probably on the right (as pictured).

I do software support for the people who design cars like that.

The beauracracy is so massive that it is amazing we produce something that works.

The government intrusion is so pervasive that each part needs government approval.

Historically, the auto-makers have shat upon their customers so badly that they deserve every ounce of venom that comes there way. They are trying to fix things now, but if it does turn around, I'm sure it won't take long for "customer" service to go right back into the crapper. There's just too many stupid people in positions of power to ever do it all right.

And don't think they Asians and Europeans do things much better - they have the PR department (e.g. AP / Reuters) that hides their recalls and bad publicity.

Pretty funny- The guy bitches his car is junk but every car maker I know usally notes it's FORBIDDEN to tow with a turbocharged passenger car.
