Okay, not really a myth buster, because financial guys are right about not letting the gummint have your money for a year. This is more like a contrary view. ''It's damned nice to do your taxes and get $10,000 back.'' That's just a guess, BTW. Bastards.

I figure letting the gov't have the use of a reasonably excessive amount of my money, just to avoid the hassles of having to come up with the dough at the last minute is worth it. Peace of mind has a value.

I try to keep it within a few hundred bucks of what I expect the bill to be, though... no point in being overly generous.
