The joke going around before Reagan was inaugurated in 1981 was that if the hostages weren't released by the time he took office, Iran would become the world's biggest parking lot.
Look at all the trouble we could have saved if they had just waited a couple of days to release our guys.

"We have American forces in the region under total surveillance. For the past two years, we have been ready for any scenario, whether sanctions or an attack."
Should someone point out to this moron that any attack coming their way won't be coming from the American 'forces in the region'? Any trouble headed their way will come at night, from 30,000 ft. and won't be visable on their radar or to their surveillance. After that they should go ahead and keep whats left of their 'total surveillance' on those troops on the ground. That way you will know when the 'American forces in the region' move in to start the mop-up operations, provide humanitarian relief and to secure control of their oil fields. - 4/15/06, 1:31 PM
