New Jersey Liberales

It seems to me that the phrase ''private office buildings'' is now archaic.
'' New Jersey's ban prohibits cigar, cigarette and pipe smoking in restaurants, bars, private office buildings and other indoor places, with fines of $250 to $1,000 ... ''

Which is pretty damn close to outlawing tobacco use, but the states and Feds won't do that because ...Tahdah! NJ and other states happily collect tobacco taxes and proceeds of the big tobacco lawsuit, and the Feds love Big Tobacco's contribution to the US trade balance.

About 70% of US tobacco companies' business is now overseas, so to my mind, it would be sweet if they moved their entire operations and corporate headquarters about 100 yards south of the US-Mexican border, where Senators inspecting the border could see the big FUCK YOU sign.

I'm not sure whether I'm getting too old and inflexible, or whether government intrusion into our lives is near the point we need another revolution, but either way I'm really pissed and yet feel powerless to do much about it. Once our Cro k...ah, Congressmen and Senatoirs get to DC, they pretty much are of the same stripe; asking not what is right for the country, but what can get me re-elected.

Tomorrow we celebrate our salvation; Happy Easter folks, and God bless you all.
