Suffering fools, but damned tired of it.
It's irrefragable: Democrats won't change underwear unless it's been run through, and approved by, a focus group - which has me scratching my head over their insistence that Katrina is the Republican's Achilles heel this Fall.  Last week Howie Dean proclaimed ''Katrina Will Put GOP Out of Business.'' Maybe Dean's focus group was the New York Times editorial board,  which quickly followed up with a barrage of Katrina-Republican-Bush bashing (and-  yawn-  getting all the numbers wrong in the process - see "Fuzzy Math").

Here's a clue Howard.  Republicans will not lose because they lose the Democrat vote - which is really quite irrelevant.  They'll lose if they lose my vote.  If I get so fed up with Republicans' failure to protect borders, slash spending, and execute Mary McCarthy for treason - so fed up that I don't vote, then Republicans are in trouble.  Katrina?  Are you nuts?  Republican voters, for the most part, read.  That means they know what  acts of God, and incompetent, graft ridden Louisiana politicians are.  Ay Carumba.

The only good suggestion I've heard is to stay home in Nov. 2006.

When *all* of the choices suck that bad, we are better off not voting.

btw, when I'm Rich and Powerful, I plan to form a political party. It will be liberal on social behaviors but conservative on government actions. But I don't know what to call it. Any suggestions?

Call it the Realistic Party

_Jon, it's called the "Libertarian Party" and it hasn't been a rousing success.
