My Lunch with Catherine A. MacKinnon

While Duke University is over-run with oh-so-PC professors, Catherine MacKinnon, the Michigan professor who made  a career out of hating men (''marital sex is rape'') is my poster girl for that culture-, so I did her.  For a week now, the story of Duke's lacrosse team gang-raping a young woman seems to be updated every 5 minutes.  Prior to the Duke-MD women's basketball championship last week,  ESPNers were asking, "Can the Duke girls overcome what's going on back home?''  (''It'll be hard Joe, but they'll do their best.'' )  For the past few days, however, the story is focused on the woman making the charge.  Seems she may have a history of this sort of thing.  Seems her story may be ''flawed.''   Too bad.  The school has already fired the lacrosse coach, and canceled the season.  I don't know how this will end, but you won't have to Google very hard to find stories of professors losing their tenure, and jobs, because some co-ed claimed she was ogled, or assaulted with sexual innuendo by some schlub male English professor, but when it comes to a Ward Churchill,?  Nothing.  Click-click.
