Tune-XP

Stuff that works
TuneXP has this going for it ... it's free, and it does some stuff I like.  One thing is, it allows me to change IP addresses on the fly.  Why would I want to do this?  Because sometimes, for whatever reason, things won't load, or load very slowly.  Changing to a new IP almost always cures that, plus it makes the DNC hackers start from scratch.

Another thing that I found interesting is that you can run Disk Check without re-booting.  It's done in a DOS window.   I keep my system pretty much tuned, so I observed no noticeable difference in shut down, or boot times, but theoretically it will help the typical girl who doesn't pay attention to changing the oil, and stuff.  Download it here, and try it.  Any settings can be reversed, but I suggest that you set a new ''Restore'' point before using it, just in case.

Which is why I love my Osborne 1 with the new and improved CP/M operating system. Never had any of those type of problems. Clean as a whistle.
