A rare and dangerous marine species

Its pretty much historical fact that military flag officers lacking sufficient moral fiber, but having an abundance of political aspiration,  turn Democrat.  This is known as the McClellan syndrome, after the failed Civil War commander, who was  twice fired by President Lincoln for being all talk and no walk, and who then ran against him in 1864.  Since the Democratic Party consistently sides with the nation's detractors, and outright enemies,  these erstwhile commanders have been assigned to the genus Prictus Militarus. The most recent PM of note was Weasel Clark, but recently, as Noel Sheppard notes -  ''In the past couple of weeks, you haven’t been able to swing a dead cat without hitting some retired general complaining about the war in Iraq.''  Most prominent is former Clinton CENTCOM commander Gen. Anthony Zinni.  Brit Hume exposed his ''memory problem'' earlier in the week, and it corresponds nicely with the Democratic party's own collective amnesia.  Here's  my guess.  Look  for Zinni to end up as some Democrat's VP candidate.  The nation would do well, when considering PMs, to remember the Schlong Dictum.  Any military man who turns democrat is no good.  No exceptions. A safe nation, and Democrat leadership, are incompatible.
