Hey, in all seriousness Rodge, did you read this book? I've seen you post a few things poking fun at it, without really knowing. Kinda wondering your actual opinion on it. Personally, it reminded me of books like 'The Last Jihad' and the like. Books that, while completely fiction, get my interest in religion peaked enough to read up on it...Kind of like...a checkup on the faith.

The way I see it, it's a fantastic piece of Fiction...People ignorant enough to either lose their faith over it, or believe it as is, probably weren't the kind of faithful the church should be hanging on to.

Nope, we own a copy, it but I find it difficult to read in my continual state of stupor. The premise, however, is centuries old. The problem I have with it is it comes at a time when there is a concerted effort by the religious left [statists] to destroy faith in this country. And you are quite right - anybody with faith will not lose it over this. However faith is an elusive, ethereal thing - it requires work to maintain. I am an expert at finding reasons not to work, and see it from that view point. Nice question Josh. I forget - home schooled, right?
