Watch not just Google, but lefties who will swarm-post complaints (hate speech, offfensive content, etc.) to shut down a site whenever they can.

It has hit a major nerve in my body for I knew that Google was left leaning for a long time (General Fact: Al-gore is a board director and took millions in stock options he had and still has with them) and I am having and beginning a 'Network Moment" against Google and suggesting that alternate search engines be used.
Its not so far gone that people can't change. Google is trying to control the web like the DBM controls the news. Any suggestions for alternate search engines.
I've been looking at Accoona.com which has a much better search function than Google, that is it has the most important pages first so you don't have to dig down so many pages. The only thing I don't like about them is the investment made by the Chi-coms in them. - 5/22/06, 11:57 PM

I use Groowe Toolbar It contains every search engine on one bar, simply scroll through. Unfortunately, right now nobody can touch Google's search engine, although Microsoft claims it will beat them. Groowes works with both Firefox and IE, so you can begin searching with, say, Yahoo, and only use Google as a last resort.

Here is a page with an index of search engines to try:
http://www.therant.us/daily_columns/anti-google_search_engine_index.htm
I can't speak to the effectiveness of any of the engines, I just found the page. - 5/23/06, 2:57 PM
