The time came for annual immunizations at our overseas Air Force base. To get us all vaccinated as quickly as possible, they pressed the veterinary surgeon into helping out. I got my injection from the vet. "Wow," I said, "you did that so gently, I hardly felt it." "I have to be gentle," he said. "My patients can bite." |

My buddy used to be a medic in the 82nd AB. When the guys came in from a weekend of R&R with the "drips", he had two methods of delivering the "Silver Bullet".
If the guy was cool, his came from a bottle that had reached room temperature.
If the GI was a jerk, his was drawn from a vial fresh out of the very cold fridge. All thick and chilly.
