Impeach Bush - Give us Cheney

Democrats are right. We need President Cheney.
I've pretty much had my fill of President Bush's ''get along at any price'' policy. Like Nixon's, any examination of his legislative record would suggest that democrats would have him in the same hall with FDR - and indeed they would, on merit,  and had he won as a democrat.  Donks, though, care about how they win, not what. It's too early to comment on his two Supreme Court placements, but I'll stipulate they are far better than anything a President Kerry would have imposed on us. His principled, even courageous stand against terrorism is very admirable, especially because it comes in the face of wall-to-wall carping from the left media - worldwide. His Immigration policy has been a disaster on all counts, so - at least for today - I am joining with Democrat dickwads, and asking for his impeachment.

Bring on President Cheney! Hooooooo-ah!

Way too harsh there w/impeachment, but it's a hard choice for me to pick my fav' between Rumsfeld and Cheney. Both are men of great confidence and consistancy, who don't buckle depending on their audiences.

Honestly, I never cared much for G.H.W.Bush from the day Reagan picked him. He always seemed like a shadow of a man to me - kinda weak. Although G.W. campaigned on,"I'm not my father," the seed didn't fall far from the tree.

G.W. didn't create the immigration problem, but between himself and the weak ass legislators of this country, they're certainly expanding the problem.
Those "protests" by illegals really threw the gas on the fire for me (as I emailed my bad juice weekend).
Now, whenever I "profile" the types, I get irritated that they are roaming around our country in complete casual freedom. But,hell, if we aren't going to enforce the laws...WTF? Juice

LOL

i love this post...

still cannot dump GW myself...
wish i could vote for Mr. Schlong.

waiting to see what happens after the House deliberations. seeing a lot of opportunists jump into the fray. why would anyone listen to Mr. Meese after witnessing his amnesty blunder? or what the hell did Newt Gingrich ever do for illegal immigration in the 1990s? and sorry Ms. Malkin, you said diddly on this issue throughout 1999-2001-2003.

i voted for this guy to check the Clinton-Democrat negligence. he has served better than i ever imagined.

i guess after all the stooges for the last 50 years, why would i have great expectations for anything? hell, McCAIN was interested in higher taxation.

i don't care who would have been in Office, no one these days would have the guts to invade Afghanistan or Iraq.

i have been reviewing a little: He's a moderate Conservative, but he has done some worthy things.

Frst President to attempt to bring private investment to Social Security, Tort Reform, Bankruptcy Reform, Conservative Judicial Nominations including Alito, Brown, Roberts, etc., rejecting KYOTO, rejecting INTERNATIONAL COURTS, strengthening our Military including substantial pay increases, the PATRIOT ACT, breaking the Gorelick Wall, crushing Terrorists in the GWOT, never appeased North Korea-Iran-Iraq, testing in Education-providing some needed standards-guage on the already massive investment…

At least, worthy of all, he kept Gore - Kerry - Democrats from doing the exact opposite. Having Bush in Office, checked the liberal folly, especially increased taxation. At least Arafat was not showing up at the White House. I like this President, merely by the way he made the MSM-Democrat-LIBS go completely insane for 6 years.

no doubt the Senate is a nightmare, and on Immigration this President is a little too easy going for my tastes. i guess a pure border security bill would never have passed in the pathetic Senate. we have to build-grow more Conservatives in the troubled body.

I too am a GW fan. There are a few things that I can't go along with, like the Education(?) bill and this huge drug handout. Spending issues. But the guy never said he was out to cut government.

He was just what we needed after 9/11. Lord help us had Gore been president.

On immigration, it looks like the House is going to keep him from doing something horrific.

The judcial legacy he is leaving is very commendable and I don't think any one really believed the tax rate cuts he proposed when running would have been so adriotly pursued. Note the marginal and capital tax rate cuts have just been extended.

He is an honorable man, has a tremendous Vice President and Sec/Def among others on his team. Some said it was great to have adults back running things. Remember Vice President Gore, Madaline Albright, William Cohen, Ron Brown and Clinton? Lord help us.

And I'm with HILLARYNEEDSAVACATION when he says how much he has enjoyed the whacky left pulling their hair out as GW outfoxes them time after time. That is a sight I never tire of. OTOH I am sick to *ucking death of the nonstop beating the MSM lays on him, there is nothing he can do right. But they are going to do that to any Republican and like RR, he sure doesn't seem like it bothers him. Gotta have that thick skin if you're an R.

'08 is going to be a hell of a ride. I still like George Allen, but the more I think about Rudy, the more I like him. All in all, I'll miss GW. He is dead on correct about Iraq and I hope who ever is next has his steadfastness.

This President has done a lot of good things I admire. I believe he is a man of honor and courage. However on illegal immigration he and his supporters in the senate are not just wrong they are devastateling wrong. If this is not halted by the Congress the results will be horrific this country will not be the country we know now. It will fall to just another 3rd world craphole.

A couple of weeks ago, I suggested this bumper sticker to my friend and he had a few made up:

I just like the straight-forward, no bullshit attitude of Cheney. But I am concerned that he would be overbearing.

I agree W has done many good things and we were fortunate he was there on 9/11.

I read somewhere that a president that is active in foreign actions tends to be active in the domestic area too. This admin is holding true to that.

I was *very* concerned with the horrible treatment W was getting from the MSM as I am a relative newcomer to politics. (I didn't pay attention until 9/11.) When RR passed, I learned that the MSM treated him just as badly and hollywood hated him too. I think that info saved me from losing my mind. I was *really* upset at their unfair treatment.

Thanks a lot Rog, for continuing to post and share. I know you've been through hell with this blog and I appreciate you continuing to put up good topics for discussion.

Hell? Nuh-uh. It's my therapy. And, it's fun except when it isn't, and then I quit for a little bit. But, thanks!
