More chanches to damage self esteem
I'm embarrassed to have missed 10.  I am NOT embarrassed to have missed 16 of 29 (55%) in the follow up ''Urban Legend'' quiz, because I think they whacked it up ... like the answer to this question.

True or false: Water can "explode" and cause injury when overheated in a microwave oven.

Mythbusters did it. Pretty shocking. Has to be distilled water and will rise to 212F w/o boiling. Any contaminant will cause it to flash boil, just about emptying the container.

True, pure water will overheat and flash boil when ever it contacts a contaminate, likewise it will not freeze unless it has a contaminate to form a crystal on and will flash freeze if touched with a fingertip. A broken light bulb will remain incandescent under pure water burning out when exposed to air. So much for the two standards of temperature reference - the freezing point and boiling point of water - but back then the speed of sound and light were unheard of too.
