When District Attorney Mike Nifong was reelected by
Durham voters a few weeks ago, for some reason I was reminded of North
Carolina's Little Rascals Day Care
travesty. I guess because it shows how prosecutors are able to
manipulate the ignorant, stupid, or plain venal into supporting raw
political ambition against all reason, and evidence to the
contrary. My first instinct was, "screw Durham. They had their chance to get rid of a total schmuck, and didn't."
But I can't let it go. This morning I learn that Nifong will seek
the indictment of a third Duke lacrosse player. WTF? Here's
more insight into this little Naziboy. Last week Nifong arrested
the cab driver who supplied one of the arrested players with an
airtight alibi for the time when the strumpet claims she was raped by
20+ players (the number fluctuates daily)." Arrested on a flimsy 2
year old complaint. I found this Daniel Macintyre post that cuts to the tendon.
| In the case of the cab driver, I can assure
you that Nifong's people will tell him that they can make the
shoplifting charge disappear if only he will change his story. The goal
here is to challenge the credibility of the witness in a situation
where he would have no incentive to lie. Moreover, there are electronic
records of Seligmann's whereabouts during the disputed time, so it is
not like the cabbie had to make up a story. Read on:

Duke University's behavior has been abominable - the
administration threw their own kids to the wolves, because, we
guess, its precious devotion to diversity proscribes
calling a woman with a long history of being a lying slut, a lying
slut. The world has yet another reason to chant ''Duke Sucks.''
