SondraK, the Mistress of Perpetual Moistness
is gallivanting all over Europe, and will soon have to try and regain
entry herself, but she has very capable co-bloggers who today penned
two items worth consideration - IMO.
The first is this from Coach TC [This about sums it up], who begins with a quote from Sen. Charles Grassley about the Senate's pending Immigration bill.
“I was burned once in 1986 when I voted for amnesty believing that it
would solve our problems. Now, we have a 12 million illegal immigrant
problem. I’m not getting burned again,” Grassley said. “Not only do
we have a glide path to citizenship, but it's a glide path with
plenty of loopholes that don’t meet the common sense test.” |
The nation was burned Senator. If you click on the ''Read More''
text, you'll get Grassley’s “Top 10” fixes for the Senate Bill
being debated. Many of Grassley's concerns have to do with
problems created by the sheer number of illegals who will be granted
amnesty (yes, amnesty). For instance, Homeland Security is to perform (there's ambiguity over whether this is mandated, or ''suggested'') background checks on 10 million aliens in 90 days. That's barely
enough time to look at 10 million photographs, for Pete's sake.
The second entry is from Claire who provides us with California Exit Exam Test Questions; samples
These are the questions so difficult that a state judge felt duty bound
to overturn California State law making a passing grade requisite
for graduation. See my self portrait in the post below? I bet it's your
self portrait too.
