Ghicago Hot Dog Treats

Happy Father's Day

"Pllttt. Every day is father's day" - Mother Superior

The greatest achievement 99.9% of all men can point to is fatherhood.  So it is on this Father's Day that I have something positive to gloat on, four great kids.  I frankly forgot that today was the day.  When my own was alive I remembered only because my wife would ask, what are you getting your dad ... ?  When the UPS truck pulled up for an unusual Saturday delivery, I had no clue.  Here's the box.  It's from "Tastes of Chicago."   What would you guess (Rollover)?  OMFG!  Ten Chicago hot dogs!!  The poppy seed rolls, the sport peppers, the unique green relish, Vienna dogs, yellow mustard, and even celery salt .. all packed in dry ice.  From son Hucker.  I have the tomatoes, onions and cucumber.  At this advanced age I don't need gifts ~ but this one rocked me.  And I am eating 7 of those 10 myself.  Huck, Erin and MS get one.  What a great country.

As an aside, here's the present Huck got me for Christmas about 3 years ago ... and I'll bet you've never seen one.  It's a motion sensitive, 5 foot tall Dancing Homer.  When activated it spits out random Homerisms or a song.  Just classic.  The kid knows my inner child.
