Google and Kerry

Mining
I read two gems on Dean's page this morning that just knocked me out.  The first is Googron, where he takes his cudgel to my favorite bogeyman of late (Google). Remember, Dean is a self described Liberal, although of the type virtually extinct since circa  1990, i.e. - measured, honest, and patriotic.

''I was talking with a friend of mine the other night and he was rather astounded that I now consider Google just another faceless, soulless, amoral corporation. He wondered what they'd done to make me feel that way and asked if it was just China. I said no, China was part of my last straw--being willing to today to China's oppressive government, but refusing to help the U.S. government trace terrorists and child molesters, was definitely my breaking point with this company. Their high-handed way of dealing with their AdSense partners, their lack of any meaningful tech support or willingness to answer questions, and the fact that they brag about their lavish employee benefits without being willing to reveal their exact revenue figures to investors, all add up to a company that's not to be trusted.

I also learned recently that they've been censoring conservative news sites from their Google News product.
Lots of good links, plus - did you know about SCROOGLE?  Neither did I.  Cool.  The second one is Swift Return.  It's mandatory reading for anyone who thinks there might be something to this current campaign to denigrate the Swift Boaters who, more than anyone else, saved the nation from John Kerry.  I say that because Dean hunted down and interviewed some Swifties on his own.  That makes him an actual journalist; one of a relatively few out there.

The Cringely column was my favorite when I used to read Info World (I think it was a pseudonym for several different people, one being famale). To be honest, I had no idea that ''he'' had resurfaced on PBS, so thanks.

Google is such a bad corporation it makes Microsoft look good in comparison.

The comments under the Swifties thing were pretty good. I laughed my ass off when I read this: "bottom line: no way in hell will I ever support John Kerry for anything and I wish that he would just retire and go eff himself. And you know what? 99% of dailykos agrees with me."
Then someone else came back with this: "I guess it's inevitable, Kerry is going to be our next president." =0D
Now if you will excuse me, I have to grab my assglue and spend some time in the bathroom.
