Joel Rivera

Today's enemy asshole
Today's asshole is New York City councilman Joel Rivera, seen appearing Friday on Fox and Friends.  Joel wants to ban fast food restaurants from opening up in NYC because fast food is bad for you.  Unasked, and of course unanswered was this question:  So Joel, after you stop fast food joints from opening, is the next step designing the menus for new eating establishments?  This clip will serve another purpose.  If you find yourself agreeing with any aspect of Rivera's argument, you are already hapless, hopeless and a scourge on society. Now, at least, you'll know it. EOS.

This kind of asshole has just won the "no public smoking" ordinance battle in the nearby urban area; I predict their next crusade is the establishement of the all-tofu menu....

living in NEW YORK CITY...

if you close many of the fast food restaurants in some NYC areas, there will be NO restaurants in that specific area...

in fact, they are sometimes cleaner, safer, edible, cheaper, than the 'mom and pop' outfits in some areas...

than there is the jobs they provide as well...

a fast food franchise is the only way some of these owners can afford to do business in NYC...
