Of Mice and Chucky
My awe of the universe is exceeded only by my inability to understand its limits.  In a way, you could say that I'm too stupid to be an atheist. A concept that has long fascinated me - and a lot of others - has our universe being nothing more than, say, a single atom in the eye of  some space chicken living on a planet in the real universe. These pictures of mouse brain neuron cells, next to a computer simulation of how the world evolved, prove to me that Chucky Schumer is a smaller flyspeck than even I imagined.

A vague paraphrase from an astronomer, Hubble:

Some days I wake up, go out, look up, and say there is no God. And I am awed.

Some days, I wake up, go out look up, and say there is a God. And I am awed.

Some days I wake up, find that Chucky Schumer didn't hold a press conferenbce, and say there is a God -- at least part-time.
