John Karr resume

Would you hire this guy?

I found this resume of a guy named John Karr. This Karr looks very much like the Ramsey perp, but lists his degree as coming from Regents College, while arrested guy's brother said he went to school in Alabama. He wouldn't be the first guy to lie on a resume. The pictures match. Look at how he describes his teaching experience, we're talking weird, weird, weird.

Private Teacher / Caregiver (2002-03 in Western Europe) as follows:

Germany: Three girls - 7, 11, and 12: I taught English to the girls through conversational and instructional methods. I gave computer instruction to the girls via their laptop PC's. I drove the girls to their activities: ballet, riding, handball, etc. I assisted the girls with their homework
Germany: Two girls - 5 and 8; boy 10: I taught English to the children through conversational and instructional methods. I awoke the children in the morning and gave them breakfast. I helped the children get ready for school and escorted them to the school bus. I helped the 8 year old girl with her homework each day. I took the children outside for play. At days end, I made sure the children had their evening bath, then put them to bed and read to them before they went to sleep.
Netherlands: Baby girl 9 months, boy 3, and girl 4: I taught English to the three year old boy and four year old girl, through conversational and instructional methods. I was very attentive to needs of the baby which included changing, feeding, and bathing her.

... bathing her? If this isn't the same Karr, he needs some looking into.

And yes, I agree this one's resume is weird, weird, weird! I'm sure it's because I'm not enlightened or sophisticated enough.

He was turned in by a professor who was corresponding with the perv. Same said professor produced a video for the parents which attempted to exhonerate them. I saw at least a dozen self-references (mostly the first-person pronoun), and very little to demonstrate that his abilities extend past conversational English.

Had he submitted that resume for grade in my Technical Writing class, he'd have gotten it back with a large red F and a terse "unacceptable . . . consult your notes and submit again after revision"; 8/17/06, 1:18 PM

Charlie said...: THE *KEY* to answering the guilt question will be a comparison of the DNA found under JonBenet's fingernails and in her underwear with that of John Mark Karr. What about a picture of Karr in the surveillance tape taken at a local hardware store where police said the distinct cord used to strangle JonBenet was purchased? Also, a match of the shoe print and/or handprint found in the basement would be huge. BUT, if the DNA doesn't match, he is most likely NOT the killer.

Some folks -- including the new domain registrar for PowerWurks.com -- are speculating on a link between John Mark Karr and the John Karr who once owned an organization called PowerWurks. The domain for PowerWurks.com has been re-registered in the name of someone who obviously thinks the two men are one in the same. However, there is ZERO evidence offered by anyone (at this point) to link John Mark Karr and PowerWurks.com.

Earlier today, I watched part of the AP news broadcast with John Mark Karr -- including his verbal statements that were quoted by most news sources. Karr is mentally unstable -- which is also clear from the video interview (unless he was drugged). It's also clear to me that this guy is gay. Therefore, he wouldn't have fallen "in love" with JonBenet Ramsey, nor would he have drugged her to have sex with her -- which, btw, doesn't fit crime scene evidence nor autopsy results at all.

I'm going to go ahead and prematurely conclude that John Mark Karr is NOT JonBenet Ramsey's killer. However, he probably is guilty of other crimes -- such has child molestation, being a purveyor of child pornography and possibly the kidnapping of young boys for the purpose of sexual abuse. The presumption of innocence until proven guilty applies. I just don't think he will be proven guilty -- or even tried -- for the murder of JonBenet Ramsey.

1)Karr is the real killer. Good work by investigators who refused to give up.

2)Karr is the real killer and is making all sorts of self-incriminating statements to anybody with a camera in the hope of totally screwing up any jurisdiction's chance of bringing him to trial, much less getting a conviction.

3)Karr is a total whackjob and had nothing to do with the murder, but has such a hardon for the publicity and the luridness of the case that he just can't stop himself from confessing; 8/18/06, 12:16 AM
Anonymous said...: Well I have worked on murder investigations in real life and I hope this guy is the real deal and it would clear Patsey but now that I have got more info it does not look that good. I still can't believe the DA held a press conference. As sad as it is Patsey still remains the most likely killer. She probably became angry with the child hit her in the head in a fit of anger then did all the rest to try and cover it up. But I hope this dude pans out. You know after all the rotten shit I have seen in this world it is still unsettling to think a mother would kill her own child. If it is proven other wise It will make me happy.; 8/18/06, 4:57 AM
