I don't profess to have vision into the future on a par with, say, Jules Verne, but a lot of people have said I do compare with his brother Vernon. Like today. A while back I got one of these radar guns for Hucker. He was going to an open Orioles pitching tryout, and wanted to monitor his ball speed. Thinking about that just now, I had this vision. I see cell phones being developed with radar capability. Local gummints will begin paying a commission on ticket revenue collected by citizens willing to snap their neighbors doing 30 in a 25 zone. They will rationalize it by saying, "I'm making my neighborhood safer." They will all be democrats. I see that happening.
