700 mile fence

They're birds you idiots ...
Fence May Cause Second Hand Smoke and Acid Rain
Environmentalists and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wardens say the 700 mile fence would disrupt the migration of scores of species like hawks and humming birds along a wildlife corridor linking northern Mexico and the U.S. southwest. .

Uhm, don't birds FLY? Like, over said fence? Even with "shoot to kill" orders against fence jumpers, I really don't think that will apply to birds and such.

I say, keep the birds who can't make it over a fence out of the country. We'll end up with smarter, stronger birds. Evolution in action.

Yeah and the Alaskan pipeline was supposed to interrupt the reindeer or cariboo migration, only now, 30 years later there are more than ever.
