The Dog Whisperer

One of my, and I dare say America's,  favorite people is Cesar Millan, a.k.a. the Dog Whisperer.  His show has become our TIVO'd dinner companion now that Oprah is in re-runs (While Mother Superior is in charge of all things TIVO, I enjoy her selections, even Oprah).  Not only does Cesar display incredible dog handling skills, but he comes off as a genuinely nice person.  He can come to my house anytime he wants.   The program is a reason to buy cable television.  But, that's not what this is about. It's testament to how thoroughly  American Trial Lawyers have inculcated our national mindset with fears of being sued, that each segment begins with this warning, "Do not attempt these techniques without consulting a professional." WTF?  The "techniques" demonstrated are walking your dog.  Consult a professional? What professional?  The only reason for this absurdity is that National Geographic Channel's lawyers know that the ambulance chaser wing of their profession will jump at any chance to sue the crap out of National Geographic if some dog, somewhere, bites an owner trying to curb a dog. Sic, Bruno, sic!
