Election in a can

Election in a can
Blah-blah-blah ... Presidential polls two years out make me want to break things, but it's all part of the game.  Pin this to your refrigerator door, and see if I haven't nailed the 2008  media election drama.

The Iowa poll shows:  (Giuliani beats Clinton 56-37; Edwards, 51-43; and Kerry, 53-40. McCain defeats Clinton 54-37; Edwards, 47-46; and Kerry, 53-39.)  Forget McCain, because he cannot possibly be nominated, so for illustrative purposes I'll use  Giuliani as the Republican candidate against Hillary.  Remember though, this is a generic script for 'Democrat v. Republican.'  It's been used in every election since 1976. It will go like this in 2008:

  • Democrats divided over Hillary 'Too conservative'

  • Hillary likely winner in today's primary

  • Hillary wins big - Kerry comes in last, drops out

  • Poll: Giuliani 18 point lead over Clinton

  • Shocker:  Something hideous about Giuliani

  • Hillary zooms in poll - lags by single digits

  • Hillary comes out of convention with slim lead over  Giuliani

  • Republican Convention called 'Bigotry & Hate" road show - Conservative base panics

  • Louis Farrakhan (whoops - prolly dead by then) ACLU says Hillary is too conservative

  • Hillary up by 12!

  • Giuliani in free fall

  • Election Eve disclosure - Giuliani taught 9-11 terrorist to fly! - Newsweek

  • Election day voter interviews - Hillary winning Texas!

  • Hillary concession speech scheduled for 1 A.M.  in New York.  Wins seven states.

Now Rog, using Rudy probably has Jack(truly a good guy) doing the dance of death.

I especially liked "taught 9/11 hijackers to fly" Fake but accurate blahblahblah Also police abuses in NY during his terms as mayor will surface.

There will definitely be a Sister Sougha moment too for HRC. Wonder who that poor soul will be?

Politicians! Should be slapped hard every morning right around breakfast time, horsewhipped at noon, and placed in pillories and bludgeoned shortly after dinner.

The only difference between Beltway Democrats and Senior Republicans is one of semantics:

Democrats are lying doubletalkers and Republicans are doubletalking liars. Or is it the other way around?

Pah! If either Giuilani or McCain is the Republican nominee, it doesn't matter who wins--we get more statism in either case. At least with Hitlery, the conservative base won't keep it's mouth shut during her reign of terror.

No I will not be dancing bet pin what I said on the wall.I like Rudy but the fact is that the Republican base will not get out and vote for him because it would be like voting for a liberal democrap. If the base does not get out and vote the democraps win. You can take that to the bank.
