Path to 9-11 - Part I

Was That So Hard?

Good on ABC for this mini-series, so far. Here are my knee jerk reactions (your mileage may differ).

Biggest Winner
Americans.  My sense is that anyone who watched tonight will understand that  we are in a death struggle with Islamo fascists. I don't think that reality existed for many viewers before tonight.  Maybe it will draw us closer together.

Most Damaged
Madelaine Albright took the biggest hit, IMO, for acting like ... Madelaine Albright.  ABC left in the scene where she tipped the Pakistan government to a pending cruise missile attack on bin Laden, allowing him to escape (she says she didn't do it.  Maybe it was Nancy Ramirez) .The scene where she hangs up on a teleconference was snipped.

Best Irony
An official observes that if the laptop computer captured in the Philippines (which exposed a plot to kill Clinton with a suicide garbage truck), had been taken in this country, we could not have looked at its contents ... because of Jamie Gorellick's ''Wall." In that case, this paragraph might be titled Poetic Justice.

Most Helped by the
Clintoids temper tantrum ...
Maybe it was me, but it seemed like Sandy Berger's dialogue was fuzzy, almost unintelligible. Those not up on his escapades did not get a sense of what a putz he was, and is. Might have been jiggered by ABC as a concession.

Biggest Loser
Congressional Democrats, for threatening ABC's broadcast license if they aired this program. Very Talibanish, that.

Part 1 was good. I hope it's a ratings hit. I agree that it might have woken a few people up. I think the cockroach that is Clinton hated to have any light shown on his incompetence.

Here is a side by side comp of an edited and unedited scene. Big difference. I hope there is a special place in hell for Clinton. What a disgusting person.

I've had a major case of eh...Sick. I wont go into it, but it's not presenting itself only as puke...aherm...So I missed everything...Including football...Which to be honest, means more than some television show that I could have written.

I've read three or four books on how Clinton lost Bin Laden (The title of one such book) So this would have simply been something that would have made me cringe...Reading a book then watching the movie is like falling in love with a singers voice only to realize they look like a cross between Rosie O'Donnel and Barney Frank.

I'm sure it was entertaining, and it wouldn't even be allowed the 'docu' in 'docu-drama' had it not been a scathing 'attack' (as the liberals call it) on the Clinton Administration.

Bush had his own problems, he didn't acknowledge it any better, but eh...In the 90's, when Osama was issuing fatwa's, calling for Jihad against the west and Oh jes; even as terrorists bombed the towers the first time, nothing happened.

'HFS! I'm Clinton, I don't know where to aim, so I ruin dresses and then bomb aspirin factory's.'

Like I say...I don't need five hours of TV to tell me that Clinton sucked. If Americans weren't slowly becoming the complacent bitches they are, there'd be no trouble seeing it. Hell, five hours? This is 2006, time of the televsion. Wars can't last five hours before hell breaks loose, how can we expect ourselves to sit and watch?

Admit it Rodger; you paused the show and had to go away during the watching, because you started cursing Bush's name, huh?

Yeah, you did.

Now that I've written something completely incoherent, with no real point, I take my leave so that I might vomit again.

Mr. Fahrni, i really enjoyed your comments.

the readers of C&S always impress.

for me, it was great fun, having Billy's shaking finger and Monica folly, displayed on a Big 3 Network again...

Classic...

West Coaster here. Okay. Yes. Glad that ABC put the production on TV. It's "rabbit-ear" friendly so the message can be shared on what is commonly referred to as "public" airwaves.

I was surprised that the cast included so many (major) Hollywood liberal actors. Okay, I was almost shocked. It apppears most of the Clinton news clips have been *clipped* (crapmonkeys!) but the Path to 9/11, so far, has been clearly laid before us.

Yes, Rodger, I thought it illustrated the death struggle. BUT. Lib crazy-folk will continue to find some reason to state it is OUR fault in the first place, so I'm not sure about the drawing us together part.

On a lesser note, Harvey Keitel, has been in many movies I've seen. My earliest recognitions are Taxi Driver and Resevoir Dogs; however, while watching him in Path to 9/11, I couldn't help seeing him as 'The Wolf', in Pulp Fiction. And a great accomplisher of handling the dirty work was he in that flick! So I found him properly cast in this mini series.

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. Juice

And the best line in the movie? My vote is for the Mujahadeen asking "Are there any men in Washington? Or are they all cowards"

I didnt watch i decided to wait till the uncut version on dvd comes out. I hope it is as good as I have been hearing.I have no hope however of leftwing democrats being reasonable. They are blinded by hate a hate that is almost bibicly evil in it's scope.I do not hate the guy that shot me as much as they hate the President for winning the elections.
