I have been a cigar smoker for years. Not every day. Maybe 4 or 5 a week. never in the house, but I will have one during my dart night at the local Pub. I still cannot understand (and I have had it happen several times) why some 3 pack a day cigarette smoker would complain that my cigar stinks! I smoke only GOOD cigars (not a 'dog rocket' like the one pictured) and they smell pretty good. Even my wife (Mrs. Claws) says they smell good and she's allergic to cigarette smoke.
Damn smoke Nazis!

Dr. H, Anytime I run across some ninny claiming to be allergic to cigarette smoke, I call them on it. It invaribly turns out to be a self-diagnosis. Ask any allergist, it is physiologically impossible for anyone to have an allergic reaction to smoke.
The second-hand smoke issue is one that I have been following for over twenty years and any "science" involved in the issue is pure political science. There were over two dozen studies done to find a link between second-hand smoke and any health hazard. None of them found any significant risk until the last one which bascially said that if you were locked in a phonebooth with six chain-smokers for forty years that there was a slight risk of your developing a respiratory illness. This study was the basis for the FDA naming second-hand smoke a class A carcinogen.

Second hand smoke was invented by lawyers when jury after jury refused to award plaintifs using the "I didn't know it was unsafe" excuse. Thetort bar needed a passive victim, and this fit the bill. The largest study on second hand smoke, by the world health org, I believe, not only found no basis for second hand smoke claims, but that preganant women exposed to it had lower natal mortality rates! LOL. Tobacco settlements were nothing more than a conficatory tax on a targeted sector - smokers (who took it lying down). Everyone involved was a C-R-O-O-K.
