Virginia racial politics

Racial Politics

Va. racial politics still brewing

Monday on MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews," Larry Sabato, a University of Virginia professor and political observer to the stars, said that he "knew" that former classmate George Allen had used racial epithets.  Yesterday Sabato admitted he had never personally heard George Allen utterances, but but but ... .  Jerk.

Also, a few days ago I opined that very few from that era had gone through life without having the "nigger" word slide off their lips, or gently lounge in their ears.  Here's James Webb, Allen's Democrat opponent.

"I don't think that there's anyone who grew up around the South that hasn't had the word pass through their lips at one time or another in their life."

This is all utter nonsense, neither man would allow race to govern his law making decisions. Period. There is just one issue that Virginia voters ought consider.  One of these candidates brought  John Kerry in to campaign for him, and one did not. James Webb, no matter what he may have been in the past, is now a certified Wal-Mart bashing, cut-and-run liberal.  If that's your cup of tea, go for it.

The dems are hoping that by claiming Allen is a racist it will do 2 things knock him out of his senate seat and destroy his viability as a presidential canadate. There conduct in this race should show everyone with an once of brains how bankrupt and dishonorable the democraps are. while I believe that the republican party has problems to much of the democrat party is devoid of common decency or honor. It should be scrapped or just turned over to the people at KOS and the decent people that are still calling then self democrats should just move to the Independant party if they don't want to be Republicans

That's right. The D's are getting a twofer for their Allen-bashing bucks. Funny thing is, it could just blow up in their faces. Constant national attention for Allen, and Webb may not be quite THAT liberal if they get him into office. In fact, he is a known malcontent. He has never been a politician before.

I just love the little burning crosses in the signature on the license.

That's just classic.

Latest poll shows that Allen has actually gained a little since the last poll in mid-August. Hopefully this is a sign that enough Virginians can see through this bullshit.

Webb's tactics just disgust me.
