When Donks ox is gored

Reagan v. Path? Pul-eeeze.
Here's James Taranto writing today about Clintoids trying to stop ABC's airing of the mini-series Path to 9-11 ...

The Clintonites may have a point here. A few years ago, when the shoe was on the other foot, we were happy to see CBS scotch "The Reagans."

The Reagan mini-series (which starred Barbra Streisand's husband as the Gipper) was an out-and-out hatchet job (in one scene, Reagan tells the first lady that AIDS patients deserve to die - an utter falsehood).  The 9-11 mini-series used historical documents, and testimony from Congress' 9-11 Commission as a basis for its script.  Hardly apples to apples, eh wot?  At any rate, this Powerline post from November 05, 2003 paints an interesting picture.
DNC Mourns Loss of "Reagans"

Here's the Democratic National Committee's take on CBS's decision to kill a slanderous, unfounded attack on Ronald Reagan:

"CBS has decided to pull its miniseries about Ronald Reagan after a Republican National Committee-organized campaign complaining that it didn't lionize their favorite president enough.

"CBS's decision is — to put it mildly — disturbing. Essentially the network has given the ruling party veto power over the content it puts on the air.

"No, there are no First Amendment violations here. The RNC protested the content of a program, which is its right, and CBS voluntarily pulled that program off the air, which is its right.

"But the decision makes it very easy to imagine a future where representatives for the Bush administration have the power to disapprove of any content that touches politics, policy, or history — including news programs."

Yeah, that's easy to imagine all right. Currently the "power to disapprove of any content that touches politics, policy, or history -- including news programs" is almost 100% in the hands of Democrats. Frankly, none of us is imaginative enough to picture a world in which the American media are controlled by conservatives.

On the positive side, it's nice to be referred to by the DNC as "the ruling party."

And they wonder why 92% of real Americans say they wouldn't allow their daughters to date them.

I say Fresh, I think Bergler cut the SBD - see how he's raised his left side? Either that or all the men ripped one and Halfbright is pretending to be appalled.

And I wouldn't let any of the loathesome ratbastards touch my dog, never mind date my daughter.

I told my son over and over it wasokay to date democrate girls as long as he used protection but when he got serious to find a Republican woman. I was worried in school at UT he studied beer drinking and women but he turned out to be a damn good Prosecuter and married a fine Republican gal.

I would not let any of those CS with in a hundred yards of a daughter if I had one and that includes Halfbright,
