Wow. A unique business and one of the slickest websites I've visited.
As we've suggested to our children, "If you have the chance to visit just one European country, make it Italy." The Uffizi Museum, the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Rome, etc. Fabulous. Juice

I'm speechless. That is literally awesome.
Anyone know what that music is?

You mean the Lacrimosa [I prefer Lachrymosa] from Mozart's Requiem Mass?

He wasn't considered a musical genius for nothing...

I have to concur if the only place you can go in europe make it Italy. I loved it there and got out away from the city to a smaller town. People there treated me like I was a celebrity and we would talk to the wee hours of the morning.France sucked and so did most of the people with the exception of a couple I met.I got into a fight my second day there because a frog thought he could insult me simply because I was American and he longed for the days when France mattered. At least the barkeeper told the cop the truth when he arrived. I took a knife off the horses ass and still have it to this day.

Jack Hamilton: It sounds like we all walked in the same shoes, perhaps same time frame. (In fact Carter was running for pres the same time Italian elections were underway.)
The French were rude and the Italians LOVED Americans.
After checking into a pensione in Rome (the little room was nice enough and looked out to an inner court yard) we went for a walk.
When we returned our things (backpacks :))had been moved to a large room w/it's own sink, marble floors, chandelier, AND one of the only rooms on the entire block that had a balcony!!! Such an *honor*.
I wonder how we would be treated today, though? Anyone know? Juice
