The similarities are scary aren't they? I noticed one glaring difference. Although the Donks, then and now, were quick to play the race card, they no longer accuse the Packs of trying to impose "racial equality".

The post is very true but you must add to todays mix democraps leftist that believe that the US is the cause of all evil and strife in the world and if we would only go peacefully into that good night all would be well instead of looking in the directionof the real culprits of death and destruction. Also at that time Lincoln ordered a newspaper shut down and the editor arrested for seditious conduct. He also sent federal troops into NY city that fired upon draft protestors. In other words he had the balls to do what needed to be done to preserve the union. I fear we are short of men with that courage.
