Euro-pussies

“Those who lack the courage will always find a philosophy to justify it. ” - Albert Camus

Other networks took a similar course, refusing to air images of Mohammed — even when reporting on the Denmark cartoon riots — claiming they were refraining because they're religiously tolerant, the South Park creators say.

"No you're not. You're afraid of getting blown up. That's what you're afraid of."

Comedy Central copped to that, you know: 'We're afraid of getting blown up.'" Matt Stone

Well, as a matter of fact ...

MUTED CELEBRATIONS: Several Spanish villages have decided to exclude images of the prophet Muhammad from their commemorations of the expulsion of the Moors from Spain. Fiestas for the 1492 reconquista until recently involved re-enacting the battles between Christians and Muslims, at the end of which an effigy of Muhammad is destroyed. "It was not an essential act, and as it could hurt some people's feelings we decided to skip it," Antonio Valdes, mayor of Beneixama, told the Spanish daily El Pais. Respecting others' beliefs is also something to celebrate. But is it just coincidence that this sensitivity didn't sprout up until after the uproar over the Danish cartoons of Muhammad earlier this year? - W$J

Argh, WSJ is a pay site and must have gotten to bugmenot.com finally as they don't carry id/pswd for it any longer.

First step in the re-reconquista as the Moors consider any territory once-conquered is forever theirs. Keep acquiescing Spain and play host to the new caliphate.
