No gay "community" in Golden. Hard to imagine we're somewhat a conservative town being squeezed between creepy liberal Denver and The People's Republic of Boulder.

Colorado is getting more and more liberal, as more people migrate here from Kalifornia and bring their crappy ideas with them. I'm in south eastern Saudi-Aurora, and that's too close to Boulder for me. I'm looking at properties out towards Elizabeth, maybe even Kiowa.

Hey root, I have a couple friends that live around E-town. They love it. Both have a bit of land, 2-5 acres. I always liked the west and north side. I can be on the lift at Loveland 45 minutes out my door.

Hard to believe the 3rd went Dem last time, especially to a leftie like Salazar. He sure has toned his BS down. I'm gonna puke if the 7th goes to Perlmutter. Colorado sure has changed.

I've been looking for 40+ acres so I can step out and pop off a few rounds in my back yard without anyone griping. Unfortunately, I can't find a combination of land and actual house (vice "Manufactured house" I can afford. I'll probably end up with a mid-range house on about 5(ish) acres and be happy not to look out of my kitchen window and wave to my neighbor through their window. It would be really nice to not have to eyeball every pack of punk-ass kids "thugging" down the road every day too (This used to be a nice neighborhood about 6 years ago when I bought the house, now too many people are renting their houses out).

As far as the elections here, I don't have a lot of faith. I'll be happy that Tancredo wins. Hell, if I were to have my way in 08...... Tom Tancredo and John Bolton for President and Vice president!!

Greetings-
I too am a former Arapahoe County resident. I fled the burbs in '76 and made my way to the western slope. I have been on the run from civilization ever since but am fast running out of planet. In my youth the scourge were Texans; in retrospect, life was good. Then came the RPFC's (Rich Pricks From California) and the state went to hell. Don't get me started...

I lived in the springs for several years and up until this year would make 2 trips a year out there. I just read a thing on the net that said Colorado Springs was becoming more conservative. Where I live now my nearest neighbor is about a mile away.

I can remember the Springs having one stop light. How can we make them all go away?
