Legerdemain
White House Upbeat About GOP Prospects

Gee, how can that be?  The media have already decided that this is the Year of the Donk.  Just like they did in '00, '02, and '04, but with more shrill. Maybe GOP internals show that this wishful thinking by the democrat media is not actually doing the job, e.g., leaving Republican voters dispirited and in disarray?  For democrats to cash in requires them to mobilize their voters in force, and rebuke Bush for ...

  1. A booming economy
  2. Lower tax rates, but much higher tax revenue
  3. Falling deficit
  4. Low unemployment
  5. No domestic acts of terror

The only people with that much zeal are the core lunatic base.  The people who invented Ned Lamont.  They're enjoying the magic show today, but the real fun comes later - when reality bites.

Very succinct Rog. When you boil it down, it is the MSM fanning the flames of BDS. Pure and simple. Really, just what IS the problem? The reason the terrorists continue in Iraq is the hope they hold out that the Libs will take power. The economy is booming and not the dot-com, last fool crap of the 90s.

I'll bet you a dollar to a donut that they run against W in '08.

But...if libs can offer the vote to felons, illegals, and the voting dead, what have they to fear? Yet, with all of that going for them they'll +ironically+ claim election fraud! What a bunch of...oh, i dunno...commiedirtbags? Juice

Karl Rove is upbeat because he's already stolen the election! BBWWAAAAHAAAAAA!

After it's all over- this will be their proof.

The toe sucker that used to be the clintons campaign manager Dickless Morris agrees with Fred Barnes that it is a done deal the the crappers win it all. I am praying they are wrong. But if they do take over the house and senate I blame Bush and the Republican senate.

Roger quick question how hard would it be for you to have one of those email alert things that shows if someone replied to your comment? Just wondering

OK, as a fiscal conservative, here's something I just don't get.
We claim that Bush tax cuts have revived the economy and are the reason for its glowing success.
However, the national deficit - the money we spend that we DON'T HAVE - has been at 500 billion, 400 billion, 300 billion, 200 billion over the last four years.

Why isn't it THAT extra infusion of money into our economy that has led to its excellent statistics? That's a hell of a lot of cash we've put on our national credit card.

Just wondering. (As a fiscal conservative who HATES spending more than we take in.)

As with any loan (that would be what the DNC left us), you don't pay it off instantly. Unless (Clinton book keeping) you just write it off. But have you noticed that, through INCOME tax cuts, and a slight increase in SALES tax, even though we are AT WAR, our deficit is still decreasing? Honest figures do take much longer than double entry book keeping. Now, next thing to say is GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND VOTE. Just because we don't have everything we were promised (due to not having a SUPER majority and interference from the, ahem, other people) we must NOT sit home to "teach the republicrats a lesson". We may not have gotten everything we want, but do you have any idea of what we WOULD get with the donks in power? Please, Roger, everybody who reads this comment, pass THAT thought along.
