Menendez smear

Usually media hand grenades target Republican candidates during election runups, so this chunk of shrapnel that found its way up and into Bob Menendez's gnarley ass is a pleasant surprise.  Thanks to HNAV for the tip. NEXT: Harry Reid threatens WCBS TV's broadcast license.

Hint to Bob  Menendez-  If you ever decide to run for office again after losing this senate campaign, take a hint from Tom Daschle and stand on a stack of phone books when debating someone who makes you look like Barbara Mikulski in drag.

Sorry, but I disagree. If you're not ready to fight do not get into the ring. Keane should have been ready and was not. What does that say about his ability to prepare and govern? It's not enough to scream "smear" when you have no plan.

I'm sorry....but when did asking a CANDIDATE FOR SENATE about his stance on the Iraq War become tantamount to a "smear?" Just because the MFSO mother has the same position on the Iraq War that Menendez does, is she not allowed to get answers from someone who may (but likely may NOT) be her Senator? Is asking a politician to take a clear stand a dirty political trick? It looks to me like Kean would rather spend his campaign throwing mud at Menendez instead of, y'know, answering relevant questions about why he should be Senator.

Okay, I'll cut your meat for you this one time.

It was a smear because Menendez set up a false predicate, then went about proving it with a set-up. Kane was ambushed by a, not at all representative, soldier's wife. She's a sympathetic figure, and no matter what Kane says he'll look bad after the video is massaged - which is why the Menendez flunky was there recording it. Now, I realize that this sort of behavior is de rigeur amongst liberals, but it's frowned upon by people with a sense of fair play, aka good Americans.. You may have to take my word on that last.
