Hm... I got the Midlands, which it said 'Basically means you have no accent. A good voice for television.'

I once had a professional try to identify where I came from with my voice. He was able to get it within the county I lived, and said 'if I had to, we could probably refine that even to your home neighborhood.' Given that, this doesn't seem all THAT precise.

They said North Central for me...Which is completely wrong. I've talked to Southerner, North easterners...they say I got no accent, soooo. Blegh...I probly took it wrong.

Pegged me for Northeast...and I've NEVER lived in any of the areas or cities they listed! The fact that I live in the Southwest and the only accent I really have much of is Southern, leads me to call this test "Crap".

It said I was Southern.

Born in South Carolina and living in Georgia.

Pretty good by my estimation.

Interesting. It's AMERICA. Seems to me that whichever locale we are from, the influx of migrants contributes to our overall communication styles and accent(uations). Midlands here as a Cali native. hmmm? Juice
