Deer Sex

''Your Honor, my client loves deer. Is that a crime?''
Prosecution of a Douglas County case involving alleged sexual contact with a dead deer may hinge on the legal definition of the word “animal.”

Bryan James Hathaway, 20, of Superior faces a misdemeanor charge of sexual gratification with an animal. He is accused of having sex with a dead deer he saw beside Stinson Avenue on Oct. 11.

A motion filed last week by his attorney, public defender Fredric Anderson, argued that because the deer was dead, it was not considered an animal and the charge should be dismissed.

“The statute does not prohibit one from having sex with a carcass,” Anderson wrote.

Judge Michael Lucci heard the motion Tuesday.

“I’m a little surprised this issue hasn’t been tackled before in another case,” Lucci said.

This lawyer needs to be shot too.

According to the dictionary a carcass is the body of a dead ANIMAL.

String them both up.

I think they're already making of movie of this: Antlered States.
Or was that "Venison Also Rises?"

Any lawyer who can work a quote from "The Princess Bride" into his motion to dismiss is OK in my book.

My question is, if the defense wins, how badly written is the law going to be that people make to 'correct' the decision? Are we not going to be able to buy leather goods in sex shops any more?

That would be a real tragedy.

I'd rather have the guy poking a dead deer than, say, my daughter...

Or anyone else's daughter, even if married to her.

Ladies & gentlemen:This guy isn't ALL bad....Haven't you noticed that he DID wear a condom....Didn't want to transmit any of that "dumbshit germ" to the deer.....Unfortunately he didn't pick up after himself. As you see, he left the discarded rubber near the deer's left rear leg.

As you have probably heard,NAMBLA entered their protest to this heinous act....just as soon as they realized that in human years, this deer was more than 8.
